v2 When?

So we installed v1 and it works but has a few issues with IE in regards to width not being set and spacing between the tip and stem. We decided to try v2.0 beta and could not even get it to work. When will v2.0 be released?

So V2 will be out +/- at the same time than V1?

Heh, I just love to keep you guys in anticipation! On a serious note, I'm quite busy with exams at the moment, but sumemr is on it's way and ample free time to push 2.0 out the door. I won't give any more time estimates because as the observant of you may have noticed... I'm not the best at time management when it comes to qTip

But what I will say is... you're going to love qTip 2 And the wait will be well worth it!

As you're doing this for free, fun and probably personnal challenge, it's fine that you're not able to match the estimation you made, because, as far as I'm concerned, what you already did is brilliant and I know you'll release something good !

Forgive me for tacking this question onto this thread... I cannot seem to find an answer to this anywhere:

Does v2 work w/ jQ 1.4.2? v.1 breaks in 1.4.2, but I cannot use 1.3.x with my application, as other things are dependent on newer jQ features.

Do you have a proper download page for v.2 (I also cannot find it), or just the Nightly Code?

Unfortunately 2.0 revisions aren't quite production ready to release as the final 2.0 yet, but for early adopters I'd say take the leap now as they will likely not change much between now and release, except for a few added features here and there.

I'm still working on what's going to happen to 1.0... I'm unsure if there ever actually will be a 1.0 release or just to scrap it and carrry on development on 2.0. There will be more details about this soon now I have some free time on my hands with summer on the way!

Currently I'm able to use qtip v2.0 in development and not have many problems. The only thing I miss is the rounded corners from v1, even if it was only if you had large borders XD. And just border-radius-ing qTips doesn't seem to work because of the very top border.

My question would be when do you think the qCorners plugin will be working (even if only for development/alpha/beta/whatever). The latest release from the launchpad repository doesn't work.

Excel, I'm not currently working on qCorner actively and will probably not be doing so in the foreseeable future. Border-radius will be supported in IE9 so it seems a fruitless endeavour, especially since earlier IE versions are quite slow even without the added wait of yet another border-radius plugin.

On a side note, your having problems with border-radius with the 2.0 branch? And if so, what exactly is wrong?

Any news on an release date for qTip2?

I'm looking at using it on a kinda high profile project; for how we're using this, qTip2 makes a lot more sense to use than 1. I've tested pretty thoroughly and all seems to work fine with our current usage of the script. Still, I'd be more comfortable if it was officially released
