Release Candidate 1 is out!

RC1 is finally available for download and fixes some quite long standing bugs in the library including several IE bugs such as max width, border gaps. It also addresses some speed issues with some key library optimizations as well as support for the new debug script which will be released in the coming days. Thanks to the YUICompressor, the file-size has even stayed the same for the production file!

Make sure to upgrade and report all your bugs to the new launchpad bug tracker. A site update will follow soon with the updated documentation on some new updated functionality etc. but until then checkout the Changelog on launchpad or the Downloads page.

I swapped out the old beta4 minimized for the new rc1 minimized, and the qtips aren't showing at all. If I switch it back to beta4, it works fine.

I'm running in jQuery noConflict mode, so I'm wondering if rc1 broke noConflict?

I tried the non-minimized rc1 as well, just in case it was a YUI compressor thing, but it had no effect.

Same here. Not showing tooltips on SAFARI even from craigsworks site. Also getting errors if the script is in the head tag at the top (after jquery reference). Does it have to go at the bottom of the page now? As there were some major issues on FF for beta4, we were waiting RC1 since beta3 to get things like the "unfocus" feature to work.

Hi guys,

Sorry about this, it seems the problem with including your scripts in the document head was due to my initialisation of the cache on script include. I've fixed this problem now in the latest branch revision and will be publishing a new RC soon that fixes this issue. Until then you can checkout the bazaar branch yourself via launchpad:

the qtip.js is the latest release (rc2).

Thanks Craig for the Link I was having the same problem with my QTIP not working and I was able to fix it.
